01
LAN Infrastructure
1 Gbps wired LAN is available on-site Required
The VideoVault server requires a minimum 1 Gbps local network. Wi-Fi is not sufficient for production workloads.
Every editor's desk has a physical LAN port Required
Each editing workstation needs a wired Ethernet port and a corresponding wall/switch port at the desk. Confirm both the desk port and the NIC on the PC are present.
02
Network Configuration
IP assignment method is confirmed Required
Is the editor network using DHCP or static IPs? The VideoVault server will always get a static IP — this confirms how the rest of the network is managed.
IP Assignment
Server, editors, and internet are all on the same network Required
The VideoVault server must be on a single flat network with internet access. No VLANs or subnet splits between the server and editing workstations unless inter-VLAN routing is confirmed.
03
Internet Connectivity
Internet speed at the site is documented Info Required
Required to assess upload throughput for cloud sync, remote access, and large file transfers.
Speed (Upload / Download)
Internet connection type is confirmed Info Required
Leased lines are symmetrical, dedicated, and SLA-backed. Broadband/fiber is shared and can have variable upload speeds. This affects how reliably the server can sync and be accessed remotely.

Workstation Requirements
All editors have a 1 Gbps LAN port or a USB-C port for a converter Required
Every editing PC or laptop must have either a built-in 1 Gbps Ethernet NIC or a USB-C port. Machines without onboard LAN will need a USB-C to RJ45 converter — one per machine.
Workstation Status
02
Team Size
Editor team size is confirmed Required
Expected range for the pilot is 10 to 15 editors. This determines the number of workstation licenses and the concurrent access load on the server.
